butterflyhug: website design and development

Making the leap from print to web.

The Cooper Foundation provides funding for a number of arts-related events on the Swarthmore College campus. In fall 2004, I was asked to rapidly design a website to publicize the various events they were funding in 2004–05. They also needed to post information about their grant application process. The foundation didn’t have a website at that time, so they asked me to make the design look like their publicity poster as much as possible. After the site’s completion, I was told that the results were surprisingly effective, and I was also praised for my fast turnaround on this urgent project.

(Note that the content of this site has been updated for subsequent years without changing the design, even though the poster’s design has evolved from year to year.)
